Christmarx Cards were created to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas - sharing, and starting fights with conservative family members.

These cards are my contribution to maintaining the incredible British tradition of sending Christmas cards.

No Ethical Consumption Under Capitalism was the first of the set to be designed, in 2018, when people still had the energy to be scandalised by Jeff Bezos incalculable wealth and the increasingly poor treatment of Amazon workers.

Following the theme, End Meritocracy was a response to the emerging topic of striving for a “meritocratic government” during the 2018 Brazilian general elections. Do we really live in a world where hard work is rewarded with riches and comfort? Or is that something the rich, incapable of acknowledging their advantages, tell themselves?

Not to get too profound with these, they are, at the end of the day, as playful as they are political. The world is too depressing. A sense of humour is important. Many systems and traditions are outdated, broken and corrupt, but sending a nice little message to your friends at the end of a hard year is not one of them.
